Branch retinal vein occlusion | Giovanna Vieira Moreira, MD

67yo

Branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) is a common vascular disorder of the retina that results in vision loss due to the blockage of the retinal vein. In the acute phase often presents hemorrhages and retinal edema. Post anti-VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) treatment, imaging typically shows reduced edema and hemorrhage, indicating improved retinal health. Anti-VEGF therapy is pivotal in managing macular edema secondary to BRVO, enhancing visual outcomes.
